Bring the excitement of international sport into your classroom with Stick to Stadium, an immersive schools program connecting Sunshine Coast students to the 2026 Asia Pacific Lacrosse Sixes Championship and the road to the LA28 Olympic Games.
Students won’t just learn about lacrosse, they’ll adopt an international nation, discover a new sport, develop new skills, and experience world-class
competition live at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
A unique learning experience
Designed for primary and secondary schools, Stick to Stadium combines classroom learning, physical activity and international sport to create a memorable educational experience.
The program introduces students to the fast-paced Olympic discipline of Lacrosse Sixes, while encouraging teamwork, global awareness and active participation.
How the program works
Term 3
Discover, Connect & Prepare
Schools begin their journey by:
Adopting one of the competing international nations
Exploring the sport through the Passport to Sixes student booklet
Learning about the rules, participating countries and fun facts
Completing teacher Quick Stix training to prepare for school delivery
Term 4
Experience the Championship
Students will:
Attend the 2026 Asia Pacific Lacrosse Sixes Championship
Cheer on their adopted nation from the stands
Experience an international sporting event firsthand
Connect with athletes and participating nations
Term 1
Continue the Legacy
Following the Championship, schools can keep the excitement going with Quick Stix through the Sporting Schools program.
Delivered in partnership with Lacrosse Australia, Quick Stix builds teamwork, coordination and confidence while introducing students to a global sport.
What’s included?
Participating schools will receive everything they need to deliver and experience the program, including Quick Stix education resources, teacher training and curriculum materials, a class equipment kit containing sticks, balls and goals, access to the 2026 Asia Pacific Lacrosse Sixes Championship, and opportunities to engage with international teams.
The program has also been designed to align with Term 4 Sporting Schools funding, giving schools the opportunity to expand participation and purchase additional equipment beyond the starter kit.
